How to Use

Saving a public Facebook video or Reel takes only a few seconds, and it works the same way on a phone or a computer. This guide walks you through the whole process step by step, shows you how to copy the correct link, and explains how to choose the right quality and fix the most common problems.

From a Facebook link to a saved MP4 in three quick steps.
  1. Open the Facebook video or Reel you want to save. Tap the Share icon (the arrow) and choose "Copy link". On a computer, you can copy the URL straight from your browser's address bar.
  2. Come back to ViralDownloader and paste the link into the download box at the top of this page - tap the Paste button or press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac).
  3. Press Download. Our server reads the public video and prepares your file - you'll see a live progress percentage while it works.
  4. Choose Download HD Quality or Download Low Quality, and the MP4 will be saved to your device. That's it - no signup, no app, and no watermark.

How to copy the correct Facebook link

The most common reason a download fails is an incomplete or wrong link, so it is worth getting this step right. In the Facebook app, open the video or Reel, tap the Share icon (the curved arrow), and choose "Copy link" - this copies the clean, public URL straight to your clipboard. On a computer, click the date or timestamp on the post to open the video on its own page and copy the address from your browser's address bar, or use the Share button and choose "Copy link".

Make sure the link points to a single, public video or Reel. Links to private profiles, friends-only posts, or videos that require a login will not work, because ViralDownloader only ever handles publicly accessible content.

Choosing between HD and Normal quality

After you press Download you can usually pick between two options. Download HD Quality gives you the highest resolution Facebook stored for that clip - often 720p or 1080p, and up to 4K when the original was uploaded that way - which is best for watching on a TV or large screen and for re-sharing. Download Low (Normal) Quality produces a smaller MP4 that saves quickly and uses less storage and mobile data, which is handy on a slow connection or an older phone. The video is the same either way; only the file size and sharpness change.

Downloading on iPhone, Android, and desktop

The steps are identical on every device, but where the file lands differs. On Android, the MP4 usually saves to your Downloads folder or Gallery. On an iPhone or iPad, the download opens in Safari and can be saved to the Files app or to Photos. On Windows and Mac, the video goes to your Downloads folder, ready to play in any media player or move wherever you like. Any modern browser - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge - works without an app or extension.
